This model can gain soul tokens from living models that are not soulless. If multiple models are eligible to claim a soul token as a result of the destruction of a model, the nearest eligible model claims the token. If this model reaches its limit on how many soul tokens it may collect, then it is not considered eligible for claiming that token.
This model cannot gain soul tokens from friendly models destroyed by friendly attacks, such as from trample power attacks, or spray attacks that hit friendly models.
Requiem - When a friendly living model is destroyed while within 10 inches of this model, this model gains the destroyed model's soul token. This model can have up to three soul tokens at any time. This model can spend soul tokens for the following:

Errata-Pistol (2023-09-17)
| Question: Does the pistol benefit apply to models not in melee with the attacking model when the pistol is on a spray? |
| Answer: No, it only applies to models with which the attacking model is in melee. |
| Explanation: The intent is that a model only ignore the penalty for being in melee with the models that model is in melee with. Pistol only works against the models in the melee with the attacking model. |

Lore
It is the Extoller Soulward who selects the greatest heroes of the battlefield for preservation, guiding spirits to ancestral guardians to escape the Void. Those who survive the potentially deadly ordeal to become an extoller can communicate with the exalted. It is their task to invoke the guidance, wisdom and protection of the Skorne's most revered ancestors.
