Wolf Lord Morraig

Morraig is an inheritor of an ancient and proud bloodline. War wolves that will barely tolerate the touch of man gladly bear him into battle, accepting his weight and fighting to the death to defend him. He is a pragmatic warrior predestined to lead the Wolves of Orboros to war. Few can match his cleft sword, and the enraged wolf beneath him snaps at any who evade his blade's edge.

Combos & Synergies

• All Wolf Sworn. Notably:
  • Reeves of Orboros - they really like the bonus to hit from Veteran Leader
  • Wolves of Orboros - They are really good at setting up a Flank for Morraig
  • Warpborn Skinwalkers - They have 2" melee to help set up flank for him
• Grayle the Farstrider - He grants tactican. This can set up a few things:
  • He stands behind Reeves to give them the veteran leader, then charges through them on his own activation
  • Once the Wolves charge in, he can charge over them for the flank bonus, thanks to their 2" melee.
  • Grayle himself is wolf sworn, so he benefits from Veteran Leader and activates flank.

Drawbacks and Downsides

• Probably one of the worst dragoons in the game
• At 8 points he is competing with more powerful models like the Primal Archon
• He wants to combo with Grayle who usually likes more to play in The Devourer's Host

Tricks & Tips

• His impact attacks benefit from flank. This can be a great way to unjam your infantry, especially if you can get tactician from Grayle.
• You could cleave off an impact attack that fails to kill. Just remember, you only get it once per activation.
