Hook and drag. Loki is a fairly hard hitting threat range extender - with a POW 17 ranged attack when you Warp Strength. He's also quite durable for a Warpwolf due to his shield, with his only rival being Ghettorix. Finally, he's a Shield Guard, allowing you to defend vulnerable targets from shooting.
===Combos & Synergies===

* [[Tanith the Feral Song]] obviously; he loves Affliction, Scything Touch, and Admonition, while Prowl can help him survive longer.
* The [[Argus Moonhound]] increases Loki's ranged accuracy and removes Stealth from potential targets.
* Both the [[Gorax]] and [[Feral Warpwolf]] can give Loki Primal, boosting his STR even further; since his hook is Thrown, it will also increase its power.
* Wraithbane from the [[Pureblood Warpwolf]] helps Loki get around defensive buffs that might stop him from getting a Drag in.
===Devourer's Host & The Wild Hunt Combos===
Loki can be taken in the [[Devourer's Host]] and {{The Wild Hunt}} theme forces under any warlock, which opens a few more combos up:
* [[Baldur1]] can increase his STR and ARM with Stoneskin, while Rapid Growth and his feat can prevent retaliation after he's killed something. Solid Ground stops him from being knocked down, which is the easiest way to kill a Warpwolf.
* [[Baldur2]] makes Loki a respectable brick via Roots of the Earth. [[Rock Wall]] helps prevent him from being shot and raises his defense in melee.
* Each of the Kaya's does something for Loki:
** [[Kaya1]] increases its accuracy in melee via Pack Hunter. She can also teleport it back after dragging a model with his Hook, and run it hotter thanks to Soothing Song.
** [[Kaya2]] increases its hitting power and survivability via Forced Evolution, and Shadow Pack means he's safe against a lot of shooting. She can also teleport it back once per game via feat. Fiel Marshal: Unyielding put him at ARM 21 in melee, add in Forced Evo for DEF 16 and he is pretty much impossible to take down.
** [[Kaya3]] can massively up his offense via Synergy, and protect it going in via Fog of War and her feat. Reposition 3" is also useful for getting him back after he's hooked and/or killed something.
* [[Kromac1]] appreciates a good gun to trigger Warpath off of, and also likes Shield Guards. Warpath also creates interesting angles for Loki's hook, and Inviolable Resolve makes him significantly tougher and immune to some control effects.
* [[Morvahna2]] allows him to reroll the missed Hook shots, greatly increasing his reliability. Carnivore and Fog of War ups his offensive potential and defense against shooting respectively.
===Drawbacks & Downsides===
* Drag sounds good until you consider stealth, Shield Guard, Sacrificial Pawn, stuff that can’t be moved, walls/terrain/other models ... it’s a long list.
* Shield Guards intercepting Loki's hooks make him less dangerous.
** Although you can still Drag the Shield Guard, chances are the drag-lane will be blocked.
* On his own he's not terribly hard hitting - he punches like a ranged specialist. Make sure you've got other heavy hitters to pick up his slack or a way of buffing his hitting power.
* He's a living warbeast in a faction with budget construct warbeasts, which is a strike against him because being living is almost never an upside in this game.
