Tubbin is a hard-working gobber who made his living as a mechanik in old Khador. He's always enjoyed weapons of war, preferring to work on loud machines capable of making big explosions. The love of a good "Boom!" runs in his family, as his cousins Gubbin and Flubbin can conform.
Basic Info
Mercenary - This model will work for Template:Crucible Guard mercenary, Template:Cygnar mercenary, and Template:Khador mercenary.
Minion - This model will work for Template:Circle Minion, and Template:Trollbloods minion.

- Infernal players can use this model in the Hearts of Darkness theme, but only if Crosse2 is leading the army.
- Trollblood players can use this model in the Vengeance of Dhunia theme.
- Furthermore, Minion models can be hired by other Factions. Normally those Factions' themes will have a limit on how many models they can hire. Refer to #Other Theme Forces, below.
Thoughts on Tubbin
Tubbin in a nutshell
Tubbin is an expensive mechanic with a good melee combat profile and good durability, which is rare to say for a gobber solo. But this is all secondary to what he offers Battle Engines.
Tune Up can be devastating but the factions Tubbin can play in limit it's application. Trollbloods, especially in the Vengeance of Dhunia theme get a lot out of it on the War Wagon.
He is best taken as a requisition option as he probably isn't worth 5pts of value on its own.
Combos & Synergies
- Battle Engines, naturally.
- In particular a War Wagon under Tune Up and Gunnbjorn2's feat can perform a devastating pounder shot.
- With Signs & Portends or Hand of Fate you can get the most out of your Tune Up attacks, that is a Siege Chariot, Assault Chariot or Gun Carriage under Vladimir1 or Vladimir2 or a Sacral Vault under Jaga-Jaga.
- Nemo4 can camp two more focus if you tune him up, keeping him safer from retaliation
- As a Gobber, he grants you access to Malvin & Mayhem.
Drawbacks & Downsides
- As it stands, if you Tune Up a battle engine and the first attack it makes is an impact attack, you effectively lose Tune Up because impact attacks can never be boosted, but it still qualifies as "the first attack the model makes".
- Hilariously, he is not in the one merc theme where mercs would take battle engines, Hammer Strike.
- If you just want him to repair stuff he costs as much as 2 other mercenary options Dirty Meg, Colbie Sterling, Raluk & the Gobber Tinker
- He struggles to keep up with certain battle engines. Most can reposition back towards him but he really needs to get as far as he can up the board turn 1.
Tricks & Tips
- Tune Up works best as a ranged buff (charges get boosted damage anyway, and impact attacks can never be boosted). Battle Engines with quality guns thus get the most from this ability, think Nemo4, War Wagons, Railless Interceptors.
- Tune Up on a Meat Thresher's High-Impact only buffs one attack. Unlike a spray attack which generates multiple attack rolls, High-Impact generates multiple attacks.
