Thoughts on Flugwug the Filcher

Flugwug the Filcher in a nutshell

He's a highly mobile combat solo that is hard to pin down. Without loot tokens he won’t be able to hurt much, but his pull offers a degree of utility.

Think of him as a slightly tweaked Croak Hunter more self sufficient as he doesn’t have gang fighter, more annoying and better at contesting by hoping and pulling models but without the utility of a ranged attack or positioning power of advanced deployment.

Combos & Synergies

• With Rahera1 in Mercenaries (not in Cryx) he can make an absurd amount of attacks per turn, thanks to Black Spot and her feat. Note that he can't spend loot on the feat attack, though, because it occurs outside his activation.
• Helga1 - in Minions, has an interesting interaction with him. If you use her feat, Flugwug can attack a model and slam it away, then pull it in, because Slam happens during the attack and Pull after it.
• Underchief Mire - with Immunity: Corrosion, he can safely hide inside Mires Caustic Mist AOE.
• Maelok - if you want Flugwug to get to interesting places, his incorporeal feat is great. +4 ARM also is nothing to sneeze at.

Drawbacks & Downsides

• He's expensive money-wise as he is sold in a boxset with the Riot-Quest-only chests.
• There's a lot of similar combat solos in Mercs already.
• He has a low damage output, even with loot tokens his role will mostly be to hunt solos and infantry.

Tricks & Tips

• You can gain a loot token on the hit, then spend it to boost the damage.
• Don't forget you can collect loot with free strikes, too.
