Frustum Locus

The Frustrum Locus was engineered by an advanced technologies optifex directive specialized in innovating hardware to disrupt formulaic magic. By modulating the energies produced by its pattern disruptor array, it can deflect or shred incoming hostile mystical attacks and even invoke a feedback loop to retaliate against the offending ’caster. By reversing these harmonics, its phase singularity beam can attune key enemies to make them easier to destroy by Convergence warcasters from afar.

Thoughts on Frustum Locus

Frustum Locus in a nutshell

Any enemy with an upkeep that comes within 17" of this guy is probably going to have the upkeep shot off it. It can also put Mage Static where needed, which is great in certain matchups. If neither of those things are useful, it can have a fully boosted POW 12 shot on a fairly durable statline for its points cost.

Combos & Synergies

• The "Super Juniors" (Nemo4 and Asphyxious4) are both casters that can help you power the Locus up.
• Skarlock Thralls and the Mechanithrall CA also stack the Frustrum but are only available in Strange Bedfellows

Drawbacks & Downsides

• None of the numbers in its stat line or weapon are prime or add up to prime numbers this is odd for the faction.
• Anti spell tech is great in some match ups, almost useless in others.

Tricks & Tips

• You can shoot your own models to dispel upkeeps on them. Just don't boost damage.
