Eradicators excel at clearing out high DEF models. Side step can grant them surprising mobility, which is rare in the machine army besides [[Clockwork Angels]]. The theme benefit of Vengeance really polishes their key weakness, which is a low predictable threat range.


Of the 3 heavy infantry choices available in Convergence the Eradicators are the cheapest, able to add a CA to their ranks and still equalling the same cost as their brothers. They are quite self-explanatory in what they do, they just need to make an active decision on a turn-by-turn basis as to whether they are difficult to kill or whether they are super accurate. Your enemy and ability to engage will often make this choice for you as you probably won’t need the accuracy vs a Khador heavy but it can be key for pinning down a difficult unit like Rocketmen.

Variable melee
At the start of this unit's activation, choose one of the following special rules. The unit's melee weapons gain the special rule chosen for one round.
Accuracy - This weapon gains +2 on its attack rolls.
Shields Up - This weapon gains Buckler.
This weapon has an integral buckler that gives the model a cumulative +1 ARM bonus; for example, a model with two of them gains a bonus of +2 ARM. A model does not gain this bonus while the weapon system with the buckler is crippled.

Unit Rules

A unit is a group of models that band together. They've got special deployment rules and activation rules.

  • All models of a unit are Trooper models.
  Errata-Unit-Advance (2023-12-07)
Question: When something triggers because an "advancing enemy model that ends their movement" is within a given distance something, and the enemy model advancing is part of a unit, does the trigger only affect the moving model, or does it also affect the troopers that are placed?
Answer: Only the model moved counts for triggering when something advances into an area.
Explanation: We are aware of the situation. Currently looking at what the wording of the feats should be as well as the bigger question at hand here. For now it would be just the models that actually moved, not were placed. This is just for these right now amd not looking at other aspects of unit movement. When there is any update for wording i will post. As stated until we have a wording update this ruling is applying here. So for now just the model that was actually moved and not the ones placed will be affected.
