Thoughts on PAGENAME
PAGENAME in a nutshell
Almost auto-include in standard convergence army. Optifex Directives are arguably the best cost-efficient repairers in the whole game.
Combos & Synergies
* Their main target, Vectors, will enjoy various supports from them. You don't need to worry about pesky pathfinders, or magical weapons; with a single nudge from their spanner something magical happens.
* Our construct 'Casters can even be repaired. If your opponent fail to kill your caster in one turn, repair him/her to full boxes.
Drawbacks & Downsides
* Similar to Choir, they're the one which your opponents will try to eliminate with extreme prejudice.
* Vulnerable to blast damages. Even with Iron Sentinel
* Because they can hand out Pathfinder but do not have it themselves you can find them outpaced by the very vectors they want to look after.
* if you simply want a Mechanic the Galvanizer is much sturdier and has access to field marshals and Battlegroup buffs. Similarly Accretion Servitors are cheaper and can redirect shots on the approach with shield guard.
Tricks & Tips
* Weapons Modulation gives magical damage to entire vector, so you can easily put this on Prime Axiom and throw out ridiculous amounts of magical attack.
* Under Destruction Initiative, they are the only unit that you can bring. If circumstances are right, they could prove to be a needed scoring unit if protected.

Unit Rules

A unit is a group of models that band together. They've got special deployment rules and activation rules.

 • All models of a unit are Trooper models.
  Errata-Unit-Advance (2023-12-07)
Question: When something triggers because an "advancing enemy model that ends their movement" is within a given distance something, and the enemy model advancing is part of a unit, does the trigger only affect the moving model, or does it also affect the troopers that are placed?
Answer: Only the model moved counts for triggering when something advances into an area.
Explanation: We are aware of the situation. Currently looking at what the wording of the feats should be as well as the bigger question at hand here. For now it would be just the models that actually moved, not were placed. This is just for these right now amd not looking at other aspects of unit movement. When there is any update for wording i will post. As stated until we have a wording update this ruling is applying here. So for now just the model that was actually moved and not the ones placed will be affected.

Lore

Eager to advance the Great Work, flesh-and-blood priests of the Convergence take to battle alongside the clockwork soldiers of their goddess at tremendous personal risk. Each optifex in a directive carries a plethora of tools both to repair vessels and vectors and to effect rapid recalibrations in response to shifting combat needs. In combat these priests stay in constant motion, each a part of a carefully orchestrated plan to service the cogs in Cyriss’ machine of war.
