=Thoughts on the {{PAGENAME}}=
==={{PAGENAME}} in a Nutshell===
The Infernal ranged light Horror, the Shrieker offers a high POW gun with Admonisher, which lets it really carve out enemy infantry formations. Its other signature ability is Wailing, which can be key for limiting your opponent's options.

===When to Summon===
The Shrieker is excellent against large amounts of single wound infantry, especially if they have protections like high DEF, concealment, or stealth. It can also be used to prevent potent orders or spellcasting. Horrors can't attack the tun they are summoned, but with Wailing the Shrieker can have an impact on the battlefield right away.

===Combos & Synergies===
* [[Nicia, Hound of the Abyss]] can engage to clear blocking models, then use Run & Gun to get close enough for her Master to summon a Shrieker in Wailing range of key enemies (such as their caster or a unit of [[Rocketmen]]).
* [[The Wretch]]'s can use Ancillary Attack to give it more shots from its excellent gun, killing even more troopers at range.
* [[Great Princess Regna Gravnoy]] is a great choice to summon this model, so that your Infernal Master is still free to summon a heavy horror.
* [[Alain Runewood, Lord of Ash]] can Curse enemies to give the Shrieker +2 to hit, which can be great if you're having trouble triggering Admonisher.
* The [[Cultist Band]] can, of course, heal it and feed it Essence.

===Drawbacks & Downsides===
* If you're just shooting single targets, [[Griever Swarm]] models using Combined Ranged Attack are more cost effective for the power they provide.
* Without another model to pin them down in melee, enemy 'casters can often just walk out of Wailing range and cast their spells anyway.
* Since your Infernal Master can only summon one horror a turn, it's usually more effective to summon a 12+ point heavy horror rather than a 9 point light horror, unless you have a specific plan.

===Tricks & Tips===
* When facing off against a unit of melee infantry, [[Great Princess Regna Gravnoy]] can walk up, summon a Shrieker, and then Reposition back 3" (with the Dark Legacy theme bonus). Then the Shrieker can walk up to within Wailing range of the unit commander. Now the unit can't run or charge, and unless they can kill the Shriker with another activation, probably just has to walk up and kill the Shrieker. In this way, you can tie up a whole unit for just 3 Essence.
