The oldest vector design still in use, the Galvanizers form the core of the Convergence’s vector armory. Galvanizers are equipped with metal saws powerful enough to rip through the thickest armor plating or cause horrific damage to flesh and bone yet precise enough to be used in conjunction with their field repair arrays for quick battlefield maintenance. This versatility makes the Galvanizer an indispensable battlefield asset.

Theme Forces

  • Other Factions
    • There are three Convergence Partisan models that, between them, can take this warjack in a plethora of Mercenary, Cryx, and Cygnar themes.
    • These models are Aurora2, Asphyxious4, and Nemo4.

Thoughts on Galvanizer

Galvanizer in a nutshell

A cheap light jack that can repair or attempt to apply grievous wounds. If it lived in any other faction it would probably be a gimmicky footnote, but given how induction works and the volume of in faction field marshals it’s actually quite adaptable and it can get stuck in when it’s support roll isn’t needed.

Combos & Synergies

  • Most casters like having a repair-bot with more hit points than the Optifex Directive.
  • Critical Grievous Wounds is something to remember against opponents with good repair or heal abilities. Mountain kings and Imperatus in particular.
  • Forge Master Syntherion likes to take a few to run up the synergy chain. There is a tactic of taking as many Galvanizers as possible with him, and just swarming the enemy. It's not particularly good though - and the Negator is a better mass-spam swarmer.
  • Father Lucant doesn't particularly like committing his heavy hitters to buffing infantry with Positive Charge, but Galvanizers are a cheap and relatively quick way to get that buff out to infantry models. Plus, ARM 20 on feat turn can turn them into a nuisance for the opponent.
  • Axis can make good use of Galvanizers in Destruction Initiative, as they give him a high boxes-to-points ratio per model to play his attrition game with. The more things that the opponent can whack on that aren't his heavy hitters, the better. They can always enjoy Unstoppable Force to bully scenario play.
  • Iron Mother turns all of her Galvanizers into Arc Nodes, allowing her to sling spells from any corner of the board. They're more survivable than ADOs, too!
  • Orion can employ Galvanizers more in a mechanic's role, while packing a mean trick up his sleeves. Galvanizers, as stated earlier with Lucant, are a cheap piece that you can feel good about throwing away. Galvanizers are also incredibly well suited to be the targets of Forced Induction, should you come into contact with any high-defense, low-armor units such as Satyxis Raiders or Crucible Guard Rocketmen. Automatic POW 10s in a 3" bubble around your Galvanizer can do a LOT of damage to sparsely-packed infantry.
  • Locke can make these into a high-risk high-reward offensive piece. Combining Engine of Destruction, Field Marshal: Precision Strike, and the Galvanizers' own Critical: Grievous Wounds, a lucky critical can make certain that an enemy warjack's cortex or warbeast's spirit are taken out for the next turn. Redline can also ensure that you're dealing damage. The more warjacks under her control, the more boxes the enemy has to chew through, meaning the more focus/fury they're probably going to spend. Which all comes together to mean that they're good sacrificial lambs for her feat.

Drawbacks & Downsides

  • Poor defensive stats
  • Not much offensive output

Tricks & Tips

  • He is as cheap as they come. Jam him into your enemy's face, and force them to waste attacks on a 5 point light.
