Filthy Casual!
To clarify the purpose of this blog, I think it needs to be stated that I play as well as any filthy casual might play. I do not win Steamrollers, do not craft highly competitive meta-breaking lists, or have every model and corresponding card memorized. That being said, I do enjoy making lists, fielding an army and rolling dice…which I think is probably the real point of the game. Something along the lines of “the objective is to win, the point is to have fun.”
The objective is to win, the point is to have fun!
That being said, I made the leap into Crucible Guard. Well, not a leap. More like the first wobbly toddler step forward. I picked up the big box, and an extra unit of rocketmen.
I am also a Hobbyist
As soon as I have my backlog painted, I will start painting up these guys and field an army in earnest. Oh, I also picked up one of the arcnodes a Toro, and couple support models. At the end of the day, this is what I should be looking at:

Now, I also tossed around an idea with the Trancer and Eilish, for some puppet master action… but War Room said no. I think it is a bug.
Anyway, I’m throwing this list up with no explanation. I will wait until I get painted models and actually play a game before posting reviews.
In the meantime, I will continue to share what I think about Troll Impalers and Runeshapers, as well as the other wonderful pieces in Trollbloods that exist in and out of the Storm of the North theme.
Hobby Goals
Two more things popped up that may speed me along in achieving my hobby goals. 1: I have an appointment to have internet set up at the house. This was vital for the laser cutter, as much of my work relies on distributed processing for the 3d modelling and rendering. 2: I almost have the garage ready for use. That means I will be building the game table shortly, which will allow for me to play and photograph games at home. That is good, because I can’t break away as much as I used to for games at the LGS. With a home setup, I should be able to play a bit and break away if something pops up.
Making More Terrain
So be ready for production to start soon on widgets and terrain. Be ready for more battle reports. And be ready to trash my non competitive lists on facebook, at Lormahordes, Reddit and wherever else you see fit.
Fully Painted
It should be easy to poke fun at my lists, because from here on out, I will only play fully painted, based armies. It is something I waivered from in the past, but not any more!
