After a bunch of games (not as many as I would like), and a nice break, I can say that I still enjoy playing trolls. Breaking from the FB and forum groups was a good idea. It helped me experiment more and gripe less. All in all, Trolls are good, the game is good, and I’m looking forward to the future.
Messing around with Crucible Guard and Trollbloods
It looks like this list means to heal a lot of damage every turn.

So the trick is that if I want to keep my warcaster safe from Lord of the Feast, better positioning is key. Keep all models 2” + 31mm away from your warcaster. The flip side is that in doing so, you lose the screening and other units can get in to kill your caster just as easily.
Grim2, Where Are You? Looking at Grim2 again as a primary warlock for my Trollblood army. I haven’t seen much of him since the beginning of 2017. I honestly can’t be sure where he really fits. The best luck I’ve had with him is as a direct answer to lists that depend on healing, via […]

Filthy Casual! To clarify the purpose of this blog, I think it needs to be stated that I play as well as any filthy casual might play. I do not win Steamrollers, do not craft highly competitive meta-breaking lists, or have every model and corresponding card memorized. That being said, I do enjoy making lists, […]
I took a hiatus from Warmachine, not by choice, but because of a cross-country move. Last week, I played my first Steamroller tourney since June. And it feels like I was completely new to the game. Partially due to the meta change, partially due to the length between games, partially due to the skill level […]
Gunnbjorn in Northkin, Two Battles in Tucson For my first game night in Tucson, Arizona, I felt the need to rely on familiarities and so chose Trollbloods as my faction. Originally, Jarl Skuld sought to pilot the Northkin army, but Calandra and even Borka on his bear made the rounds. A conversation on Facebook about […]
