History

Antiquity

Rhulfolk believe they are the direct descendants of the Great Fathers. [1]

Feud of Ages

Taking place approximately 8500 BR and lasting through 8200 BR, the Rhulfolk fought a civil war, stifling their progress as a civilizaiton. Thirteen clans departed and settled in Ghord. [1]

Rhulic Moot

The Great Fathers created the Rhulic Moot. Artifacts dating back to 7500 BR include tablets containing laws and instructions enabling the Rhul clans to coexist. The thirteen most prominent clans are the Stone Lords, tracing ancestry to the Great Fathers. They preside over the Moot of the Hundred Houses, which form the central legistlation and judicial governence of Rhul. There are over a thousand recognized clans who occassionally clash in sanctioned and regulated battles overseen by the Moot. [1]

Gifts of the arcane

The Great Fathers gifted arcane magic to the Rhulfolk, providing strict rules on use.

Lament of Ghor

The Lament of Ghor is not actually related to the diety, but to the collapse of the Lyossan Bridge of Worlds in 4000 BR. The arcane shockwave passing through the continent swallowed cities in earthquakes. Entire clans disappeared. The event was named Lament of Ghor because it harkened back to the old stories.

The Rhulfolk recognized that new people settling on the southeastern border of their homeland were connected to the arcane tremors and Lament of Ghor.
