Dual Attack

This model can make melee and ranged attacks in the same activation. When this model makes its initial melee attacks, it can also make its initial ranged attacks. A model with Dual Attack can make its initial melee and ranged attacks in any order you choose. This model cannot make ranged attacks after making a power attack.

  Errata-Dual Attack and Unit Charges (2023-10-27)
Question: If a unit with Dual Attack charges a single model, are all placed in melee range, and the first model kills the charge target, can the remaining members of the unit make ranged attacks, or do they forfeit their Combat Action because they don't have any enemy models in their melee range?
Answer: The check for melee range is done at the end of movement. If you kill the targets before they attack, they can still do their ranged attack. (Malkav13)

  Errata-Dual Attack and Special Attacks (2023-08-10)
Question: Can a model with Dual Attack make any combination of ranged special attack and normal melee initial attacks, or its melee special attack and normal ranged initial attacks? (Example: Bison Both Barrels and Ram, or Mariner Thresher and gunshot).
Answer: No.
Explanation: The bison can not use dual attack and also make a special attack. That is correct in that (Thresher) example too.

Special Attack
A model can make a special attack during its Combat Action if it meets the requirements for the special action or attack's use.
Ground Pounder - Place a 3 inch template anywhere completely within this weapons RNG and in this model's LOS. This model makes one ranged attack roll against each model in the template, ignoring concealment and Stealth. This model does not gain a bonus for aiming when resolving a Ground Pounder attack. Models do not gain the target in melee DEF bonus when resolving Ground Pounder attack rolls. Models hit suffer a ranged attack damage roll with a POW eaual to the POW of this weapon. Ground Pounder attacks are simultaneous.

Unit Rules

A unit is a group of models that band together. They've got special deployment rules and activation rules.

  • All models of a unit are Trooper models.
  Errata-Unit-Advance (2023-12-07)
Question: When something triggers because an "advancing enemy model that ends their movement" is within a given distance something, and the enemy model advancing is part of a unit, does the trigger only affect the moving model, or does it also affect the troopers that are placed?
Answer: Only the model moved counts for triggering when something advances into an area.
Explanation: We are aware of the situation. Currently looking at what the wording of the feats should be as well as the bigger question at hand here. For now it would be just the models that actually moved, not were placed. This is just for these right now amd not looking at other aspects of unit movement. When there is any update for wording i will post. As stated until we have a wording update this ruling is applying here. So for now just the model that was actually moved and not the ones placed will be affected.

Those priests who dedicate themselves to creating and perfecting the Convergence’s weapons of war are known as transverse enumerators. These senior priests have an intimate grasp of design specifications, tolerances, and limitations which allow them to quickly adjust a unit’s tactics, even in the heat of action. Such masters can orchestrate the attacks of clockwork units with a precision that borders on the divine.

Thoughts on Transverse Enumerator

Transverse Enumerator in a nutshell

For 3 points the Transverse Enumerator adds some useful abilities to one of your units: Once per game rerolling all of a unit's rolls can be very helpful, a spray with continuous effect fire is nice and coordinated movement is great for unjamming as your models move through your allies.

Beyond that as another source of repair and with Iron Sentinel the Enumerator assists the staying power of your army.

Unit-specific bonuses

The Transverse Enumerator can pick up a few extra abilities depending on what unit she is attached to:

Combos & Synergies

  • Anything she can repair. So, most of Convergence.
  • Reductors can become really good at unjamming, moving through their allies to line up those sprays perfectly. And that's a lot of attacks possible on the mini-feat
  • In Strange Bedfellows she can attach to ANY unit, meaning she can function as the leader to Thrall units such as McThralls and Soulhunters.
    • A max unit of Mechanithralls really like her CMD 9 and mini-feat, mostly due to the volume of attacks they make. Practiced Maneuvers is also good for making sure the Brute Thralls can get into combat without their little brothers accidentally blocking them.
  • Asphyxious4 is a Convergence unit in any CoC theme thanks to the Partisan rule, so she can always attach to him.
    • The reroll mini-feat is especially powerful on a super "solo" like Gaspy.
    • Being able to repair him is also great to keep him alive longer.
    • Due to the wording of Malign Alignment she also gains Dark Shroud as part of his unit.
  • Coordinated Movement allows for your screening unit to not block your own line of sight. Attach to Reciprocators and charge or shoot from behind them for extra safety.

Drawbacks & Downsides

  • Iron Sentinel won't come up as often as you may think, since she is a unit attachment and doesn't hang out with warjacks much.

Tricks & Tips

  • In Clockwork Legions Coordinated Movement can stack nicely with Vengeance moves, making it easier to bring your damaged medium-base troops into the range of your repair-er models.
  • If running an Enumerator, leave her close to your Enigma Foundry. This both helps keep the Foundry alive by offering the chance to repair it, but also means you can lose your entire unit of infantry and still have the unit leader close enough that the Foundry can resurrect models in formation.
  • This model is living: while it can repair the Foundry, the Foundry cannot repair it back. Plus, as a living model, debuffs that Convergence normally ignores (such as Ashen Veil) do apply to it.
