Some infernalists embrace their chosen path with greater than normal enthusiasm, surrendering themselves utterly to the cause and giving up their humanity. Referred to as wretches, these individuals have put their past identities behind them and have earned a variety of boons from their patrons that allow them to unleash terrifying magic. Infernal power has transfigured them into monsters with scaled skin, wrapped in tattered rags and chains that symbolize their bondage to higher powers.

Thoughts on The Wretch
The Wretch in a Nutshell
Wretch's are horrific, twisted Infernalists. The have a strong magic attack that explodes enemy models into a massive AOE. Additionally, they provide an aura of Mortal Fear, impeding your opponents damage rolls.
Combos & Synergies
- Any Horror, especially ones with ranged weapons like Ancillary Attack.
Drawbacks & Downsides
- if the enemy can get around stealth they are not hard to kill.
Tricks & Tips
Aurum Legate Lukas di Morray often relies on mercenaries for enough healing to stop him from killing himself, but you get no access to mercenaries in the In Hearts of Darkness theme. That Which Does Not Kill You can be leveraged for this much needed healing. An 8" CMD range means you need to walk him to within 8" from an enemy (that is preferably easy to kill), which means you can keep Morray up to 17" away from the enemy and still get the heal when it dies. You can position 3 of them at this distance, and gain 3d3 healing from 1 enemy killed.
