A classic case of what happens when someone gets too into their work, Gorman the Mad hasn’t just taken things too far—he’s taken them beyond the point of getting them back. With his alchemical cannon full of corrosive ooze, no looter’s Riot Gear is safe when Gorman goes off the deep end in battle.

Thoughts on Gorman2

Gorman2 in a nutshell

Gorman2 is very akin to his previous incarnation; he retained all of his abilities and even picked up Gunfighter, the difference lies in his 8" spray Blaster and its attack types, which replaces his bombs. He brings some anti infantry tech, anti-cloud tech and a STR and DEF debuff instead or Gorman1's conditional ARM debuff and control bombs. All of this makes him a very good model, but bringing him prevents you from bringing Gorman1 instead, so you need to asses which debuffs you need more.

Combos & Synergies

As a Mercenary

  • Ashlynn d'Elyse - Naturally, as she makes him RAT 7 and lets him critfish on feat turn.
  • Fiona the Black - Weaken and her feat will make melee centric models struggle to put a dent in anything.
  • Captain Rahera - Blackspot and her feat let him shoot multiple times a turn.
  • Major Harrison Gibbs - Reposition is great on any ranged model.
  • Major Aline Benett - Her Raid spell gives +2 SPD and boosted damage on some Template:Star gunfighter attacks is fun.
    • Template:Star Although you get to put the entire spray template down when you do a Gunfighter attack, only the models close enough to engage Gorman are "in melee" with him, so only those ones have boosted damage.

As Crucible Guard

  • Syvestro - Explosivo turns him into an infantry blender and he brings Blind himself so you won't miss Gorman1 all too much. Also, stacking Weaken and Transmutation on any enemy models is just mean. And finally, his feat lets him crit fish. They go well together.
  • Any durable high-ARM pieces such as Nomad or Toros become even brick-ier when the enemy suffers from Weaken.

Drawbacks & Downsides

  • If you bring him you can't bring Gorman1.
  • All 3 of his effects are corner case. Corrosion is great against high ARM single wound infantry and little else. Weaken is mostly good against high DEF warbeasts he can't hit and the anti-cloud spray is only good if it crits or if there are clouds. Nevertheless, a spray 8 is still not bad.

Tricks & Tips

  • Most things that ignore stealth ignore clouds, if you are using a smoke bomb try to screen other models.
