PAGENAME in a nutshell
A simple vector with an average gun that allows all models to charge for free with a little extra distance. Simple, dirt cheap but a brutally effective combo-starter.

Most Convergence casters are not known for their RAT but luck on it's gun really helps lessen this.
Lore
Combos & Synergies
Everyone can use extra threat range. Casters with speed buffs(Syntherion, Aurora, Axis) can stack up their spells with diffuser, and ones without speed buffs need the diffuser.  Even low-RAT casters like Lucant or Axis can hit thanks to Luck. You have approximately 85.9% chance of hitting DEF 12 targets with boosted luck re-rolls.  Melee Vectors : Warmachine 101, faster charge is good, free charge is good. Faster, free charge is perfect.
* Widget1 - shoot your gun twice a turn in Strange Bedfellows only
* Orion - has the best RAT in faction (on certain turns) Reposition also lets you escape back to safety.
* Locke - Sentry and Road to War with this gun creates some very unpredictable threat angles for your enemies.
* Syntherion - it will do nothing in melee but on feat turn you may as well throw it in for the synergy chain. It's a weird target to hot shot but if you have nothing else why not.

Drawbacks & Downsides
The Diffuser is a clockwork marvel equipped with a ripspike launcher and a sophisticated arcane relay. The individual ripspikes bear tiny fins controlled by a clockwork mechanism. * His defensive stats are average, and he can easily be one-shotted by a couple of charging weapon masters, a heavy, or boosted ranged attacks like Horgenhold Artillery Corps or a Defender.
* Beacon is such a powerful ability, it makes him an easy target for incoming fire.
* It struggles to spend three focus in a turn for a full induction chain.

Tricks & Tips
* Be careful not to charge your heavies out of range of induction!
* Lucky re-rolls the last shot regardless if you boosted or not. Always boost to hit.

Slam Power Attack
Slam Power Attack
This model can make slam power attacks.

Pathfinder
Pathfinder
This model treats rough terrain as open terrain while advancing. While charging, slam power attacking, or trample power attacking, this model does not stop its movement when it contacts an obstacle.

Dual Attack
Dual Attack

This model can make melee and ranged attacks in the same activation. When this model makes its initial melee attacks, it can also make its initial ranged attacks. A model with Dual Attack can make its initial melee and ranged attacks in any order you choose. This model cannot make ranged attacks after making a power attack.

Errata-Dual Attack and Unit Charges (2023-10-27)
Question: If a unit with Dual Attack charges a single model, are all placed in melee range, and the first model kills the charge target, can the remaining members of the unit make ranged attacks, or do they forfeit their Combat Action because they don't have any enemy models in their melee range?
Answer: The check for melee range is done at the end of movement. If you kill the targets before they attack, they can still do their ranged attack. (Malkav13)
Explanation: This post is correct.

Errata-Dual Attack and Special Attacks (2023-08-10)
Question: Can a model with Dual Attack make any combination of ranged special attack and normal melee initial attacks, or its melee special attack and normal ranged initial attacks? (Example: Bison Both Barrels and Ram, or Mariner Thresher and gunshot).
Answer: No.
Explanation: The bison can not use dual attack and also make a special attack. That is correct in that (Thresher) example too.

Warjack Rules

Convergence of Cyriss warjacks are called vectors. While being a "Vector" isn't a gameplay rule, the Convergence warjacks do carry some additional rules of their own that set them apart from normal warjacks.

Interface Node
  1. This model has an interface node instead of a cortex, represented by the I boxes on the damage grid.
  2. This model gains focus, and can have no more than 3 points at any time.
  3. This model can spend focus only during its activation.
  4. This model cannot gain or spend focus while its interface node is crippled.
  5. This model is immune to effects that cause a warjack to suffer damage directly to its cortex.
  6. This model is immune to effects that require a warjack to have a functional cortex.

No errata for Interface Node (Create)

Warcaster Dependent MAT and RAT
  1. This model's MAT and RAT are equal to the current MAT and RAT of its controlling warcaster.
  2. This model does not directly benefit from MAT/RAT bonuses, but any alteration to a controlling warcaster's MAT/RAT will be passed along to this model.
  3. Effects that affect attack rolls will affect this model normally.

No errata for Warcaster Dependent MAT and RAT (Create)

No Power Up
This model does not power up and does not automatically gain a focus point for being in the controlling warcaster's control range during the Control Phase.

No errata for No Power Up (Create)

Force Induction
When this model spends a focus point during its activation, you can give a focus point to another warjack with an operational interface node if the two are in the same battlegroup and are within 9 inches of one another. This does not override the Interface Node rule limiting the warjack's focus points to 3.

No errata for Force Induction (Create)

Lore

The Diffuser is a clockwork marvel equipped with a ripspike launcher and a sophisticated arcane relay. The individual ripspikes bear tiny fins controlled by a clockwork mechanism. This allows the arcane relay to adjust the trajectory of each ripspike, maximizing the probability of every shot striking true. The relay sends similar signals to other vectors, clockwork vessels, and priests of Cyriss to direct their efforts toward targets marked for immediate termination.
