With the proper application of alchemical and electrical impulses, Dr. Arkadius encouraged farrow muscles to gain bulk and bones to lengthen and harden. Turning this craft to the boars of the Thornfall Alliance, he has created powerful new living weapons. His trained battle boars learn to activate pumps connected to tanks of stored adrenaline to enhance their strength as they batter opponents to pieces.

Thoughts on Battle Boar
Battle Boar in a nutshell
The Battle Boar has three things going for it in no particular order. The Primal animus is the only damage buffing animus on a Farrow warbeast. Adrenalize lets them chew through infantry (especially when under Primal). And as melee beasts go they are tough for their points. This makes them point for point some of the best combat light warbeasts around.
Combos & Synergies
- Any other warbeast likes Primal. Especially the Razor Boar.
- Anyone with a MAT buff; Berserk, Overtake, and a Fury pool sounds like an excellent combination - but MAT 5 is a whiff-fest.
- Helga the Conquerer Field Marshal: Gang Fighter is exactly what the Battle Boar wants to chew through most infantry rather than missing on 7s.
- Sturm & Drang Under Sturm they are cheap and tough Shield Guards, able to take the hits in place of more valuable models. Under Drang with his Pack Hunters and Overtake they can chew up infantry very fast, and Killing Ground for free charges is a much bigger proportional buff than other beasts get.
- Lord Carver, BMMD, Esq. III Batten Down the Hatches makes them very very tough for their cost, requiring serious brick-wrecking methods to kill, and who doesn't like Mobility.
- Dr. Arkadius Not a bad target for Forced Evolution, and can get places to Primal Shock.
in Disciples of Agony
- Paingiver Beast Handlers - the best warbeast support in the game
- Archdomina Makeda has Carnage for +2 to hit
- Makeda & the Exalted Court has Incite for +2 to hit and damage.
- Lord Tyrant Zaadesh has a MAT boosting feat
- Morghoul2 a blind target is an easy target.
- Xerxis, Fury of Halaak gives a speed buff, has a feat that buffs MAT, and he's going to lose half his beasts to Frenzy after feat turn most of the time anyway..
Drawbacks & Downsides
- Low MAT needs buffing. The only thing they do to heavies is primal other warbeasts.
- Low basic hitting power - two attacks and low P+S (unless under Primal)
Tricks & Tips
- Look for close packed infantry.
