Frontline shock troopers, eradicators charge into the fray using protean bucklers to protect their advance. In the thick of combat their bucklers transform to release spring-loaded claws. The clockwork shock troopers employ these claws to strike down opponents with surgical precision, using the momentum of each blow to propel themselves even deeper into enemy lines.

Thoughts on Eradicators
Eradicators in a nutshell
Eradicators excel at clearing out high DEF models. Side step can grant them surprising mobility, which is rare in the machine army besides Clockwork Angels. The theme benefit of Vengeance really polishes their key weakness, which is a low predictable threat range.
Of the 3 heavy infantry choices available in Convergence the Eradicators are the cheapest, able to add a CA to their ranks and still equalling the same cost as their brothers. They are quite self-explanatory in what they do, they just need to make an active decision on a turn-by-turn basis as to whether they are difficult to kill or whether they are super accurate. Your enemy and ability to engage will often make this choice for you as you probably won’t need the accuracy vs a Khador heavy but it can be key for pinning down a difficult unit like Rocketmen.
Combos & Synergies
- Asphyxious4 - Apply Incise and Dark Shroud to murder even gargantuans.
- Axis, The Harmonic Enforcer : As the main infantry caster, Axis can give these guys quite a buff with Onslaught, and his feat is able to overcome Eradicators' major drawback.
- Father Lucant, The Divinity Architect : Defensive but decent caster, Lucant will greatly increase eradicators' survival rate. His feat will make eradicators incredibly difficult to kill and Positive charge on a nearby vector can make eradicators hit very hard.
- Aurora, Numen of Aerogenesis : Feat, and cast Aerogenesis. Flying charges with parry and reposition. Perfect.
- Diffuser : They love to have a movement buff.
- Monitor, Perforators or even Elimination Servitors are great for scratching up enemy models to trigger Finisher
Drawbacks & Downsides
- If they don't use shields up, they are pretty easy to kill
- Low-ish threat range, which means they often get charged, and they don't survive charges well.
- Medium base and only 0.5" reach doesn't mix well. Side Step alleviates this somewhat.
Tricks & Tips
- In "Shields Up" mode, they get a total of +2 ARM; one from each buckler.
- They can hit almost anything with accuracy mode. Throw some flares and their MAT goes into double digits.
- Against low DEF foes don't bother with accuracy - keep the ARM
- Look for opportunities to Sidestep into enemy casters.
