Doctor Alejandro Mosby is an alchemist obsessed with his work, foregoing all comforts in his latest efforts to unlock new discoveries. =Thoughts on PAGENAME=
Changes and Updates
PAGENAME in a nutshell
PAGENAME is a ranking officer - a model who takes control of a unit of Mercenaries and makes them Crucible Guard while he's alive. He also gives that unit a little more "oomph" with his drugs.

There are three different reasons you'll include a Ranking Officer:
Mk3 to Mk4
# You want to get a "friendly Faction" spell/buff from your CG caster onto a Mercenary unit.
Release Trivia
# You want to get a "friendly Faction" spell/buff from a Mercenary unit onto your own forces.
# You want to include a Mercenary unit anyway, and they will get better with the drugs.

Combos & Synergies
* Steelhead Halberdiers - cheap enough, Tough helps with delivery/jamming, +2 STR means they hit at POW13 while charging. Syvestro's Transmutation pushes their STR even higher and DEF to above average.
* Order of Illumination Resolutes - A great medium-base unit that gets a lot of benefits from Mosby with a laundry list of good synergies. Gearhart and Syvestro can really make them shine. They can bring up to 3 Morrowan Battle Priest attachments for some cheap, hard-hitting shield guards.
* Legion of Lost Souls - Expensive and don't benefit from all of Mosby's special rules, but truly ridiculous with Transmutation and other CG buffs. They can also bring Morrowan Battle Priest attachments, and their Blood Bound recursion ability can not only bring back Priests, but also Mosby himself. Keep in mind they cannot Shield Wall as long as he's alive.
* Horgenhold Forge Guard - Weapon Masters love STR buffs and with other CG (de)buffs they can hit extremely hard.
* Press Gangers - Advance Deployment is great, bonus STR and CG (de)buffs let them hit reasonably hard and overtake facilitates usage of Gang. Shanghai is situationally useful for RFP and recursion.
* Sea Dog Pirates - Another cheap unit that have some unusual synergies with Mosby and CG casters. Adding Lord Rockbottom pushes them into truly ridiculous territory for such a cheap unit.
* Greygore Boomhowler & Co. - Premiere jamming unit with no-KD 4+ tough.
* Herne & Jonne - Artillerist for all your AOE needs. They also of course love CG buffs and debuffs. A Scattershot buffed by Artillerist and e.g. Hot-Shot against a rusted target is going to hurt.

Drawbacks & Downsides
* With no defensive mechanism outside of Tough, Mosby is easy to kill and without him melee units lose a lot of their oomph.
* He has a relatively small CMD stat of 7 which limits the ability of the unit to spread out and requires Mosby to be close to the action where he does not want to be.
* The Mercenary unit can't take their normal CA, and some Merc units only get decent when they get that CA.
* The only order a Ranking Officer can issue is Press Forward (plus any on their own card, which Mosby has none). This means Merc units can't use specialized orders such as Shield Wall, at least not until Mosby dies.

Tricks & Tips
* His mini-feat Revivifier applies to ALL friendly faction models within 7" of Mosby, not just his unit.
* Coagulum of Entropy only applies the Corrosion continuous effect, it does not directly damage enemies, and even then only after they hit a model. As such, it gets more utility by giving the unit Immunity:Corrosion to protect them from friendly corrosion (e.g., Vulcan sprays) or enemy corrosion attacks.

Dual Attack

Errata-Dual Attack and Unit Charges (2023-10-27)
Question: If a unit with Dual Attack charges a single model, are all placed in melee range, and the first model kills the charge target, can the remaining members of the unit make ranged attacks, or do they forfeit their Combat Action because they don't have any enemy models in their melee range?
Answer: The check for melee range is done at the end of movement. If you kill the targets before they attack, they can still do their ranged attack. (Malkav13)
Explanation: This post is correct.

Errata-Dual Attack and Special Attacks (2023-08-10)
Question: Can a model with Dual Attack make any combination of ranged special attack and normal melee initial attacks, or its melee special attack and normal ranged initial attacks? (Example: Bison Both Barrels and Ram, or Mariner Thresher and gunshot).
Answer: No.
Explanation: The bison can not use dual attack and also make a special attack. That is correct in that (Thresher) example too.
