It's important to remember that this ability only affects friendly Faction models shooting an enemy. This model gets the benefit because it is a friendly Faction model. If the rule said "other friendly Faction models" then this one would not benefit from its own ability unless it was paired up with a second model having the same ability.
 
Superconduction differs from [[:Category:Ionization|Ionization]] in that Ionization affects damage rolls regardless of whether you're friendly or enemy.
