Dual Attack
Dual Attack

This model can make melee and ranged attacks in the same activation. When this model makes its initial melee attacks, it can also make its initial ranged attacks. A model with Dual Attack can make its initial melee and ranged attacks in any order you choose. This model cannot make ranged attacks after making a power attack.

  Errata-Dual Attack and Unit Charges (2023-10-27)
Question: If a unit with Dual Attack charges a single model, are all placed in melee range, and the first model kills the charge target, can the remaining members of the unit make ranged attacks, or do they forfeit their Combat Action because they don't have any enemy models in their melee range?
Answer: The check for melee range is done at the end of movement. If you kill the targets before they attack, they can still do their ranged attack. (Malkav13)

Question: Can a model with Dual Attack make any combination of ranged special attack and normal melee initial attacks, or its melee special attack and normal ranged initial attacks? (Example: Bison Both Barrels and Ram, or Mariner Thresher and gunshot).
Answer: No.
Explanation: The bison can not use dual attack and also make a special attack. That is correct in that (Thresher) example too.

Special Attack
A model can make a special attack during its Combat Action if it meets the requirements for the special action or attack's use.
Ground Pounder - Place a 3 inch template anywhere completely within this weapons RNG and in this model's LOS. This model makes one ranged attack roll against each model in the template, ignoring concealment and Stealth. This model does not gain a bonus for aiming when resolving a Ground Pounder attack. Models do not gain the target in melee DEF bonus when resolving Ground Pounder attack rolls. Models hit suffer a ranged attack damage roll with a POW eaual to the POW of this weapon. Warjack Rules

Convergence of Cyriss warjacks are called vectors. While being a "Vector" isn't a gameplay rule, the Convergence warjacks do carry some additional rules of their own that set them apart from normal warjacks.


Interface Node
  1. This model has an interface node instead of a cortex, represented by the I boxes on the damage grid.
  2. This model gains focus, and can have no more than 3 points at any time.
  3. This model can spend focus only during its activation.
  4. This model cannot gain or spend focus while its interface node is crippled.
  5. This model is immune to effects that cause a warjack to suffer damage directly to its cortex.
  6. This model is immune to effects that require a warjack to have a functional cortex.

Warcaster Dependent MAT and RAT

Theme Forces

  • Other Factions
    • There are three Convergence Partisan models that, between them, can take this warjack in a plethora of Mercenary, Cryx, and Cygnar themes.
    • These models are Aurora2, Asphyxious4, and Nemo4.


Thoughts on Mitigator

Mitigator in a nutshell

A light jack that can knockdown any model (or other models within the aoe) on a direct hit or that can make decent ranged shots to take out single wound targets. A deviating puncture is also great for infantry or high-def solos.

Combos & Synergies

  • Units with flare : Cipher, Attunement Servitors. Often, flared enemies are good targets to hit with boosted attack rolls.
  • Casters with decent RAT : Well, for convergence it would be Directrix, Orion or Syntherion.
  • Servitors : Put them really close, and shoot them in the back. You sacrifice one servitor, but it's worth it to get a knockdown on a key model.
  • Prime Axiom : Our beloved colossal always yearns for dragging and scrapping. Knocked down targets are easy to drag! Also a good way to spawn some friendly Attunement Servitors.
  • Orion obviously Orion’s feat, spell piercer and high Rat help it hit infantry but reposition 3 also helps it avoid being charged and magic bullet will still trigger as normal.
  • Eradicators if there is no single wound infantry worth shooting the gun can still set up the Eradicators finisher ability.

Drawbacks & Downsides

  • It's a light vector, so poor defensive stats, and lackluster melee.
  • Short range on the gun if you want to knockdown. If your target is in range, you're in charge range, a miss will be deadly.
  • it’s unlikely to make its points back in a single round of shooting making the above issues more prevalent.
  • With a ranged puncture attack it's a pain for Induction chains as it's hard to spend more than 1 focus for shooting.
