Welcome to Disgruntled Wargamer's Warma-Wiki
Hello everyone, and welcome. With the recent changes to Warmachine, this site is filling the role of a neutral ground for errata and factual information on the warmachine game. Currently, errata may be found on Discord in the unofficial Warmachine channel or in the Steamforged Games channel, on Facebook, and on Reddit. The old Privateer Press community forum from the Mk1 through Mk3 era was disolved with the advent of Mk4, and with the sale of the IP to Steamforged Games, the faq and articles is now found on Discord.
This site primarily serves the small population of players who want an add-free way to look up cards, and view clarifications and errata on those cards. Additionally, some statistical analysis is provided to enhance the strategy building that goes into list creation.
Warmachine
As Steamforged Games is taking up the property, they are dropping the "MKx" from the Warmachine title. So now, it's just Warmachine. Hordes is included, and all the rules for running warbeasts instead of warjacks is like it was. The name's just been dropped from the product line.
Warmachine Prime vs Warmachine Unlimited
Prime is the main way to participate in tournaments. It is a format that includes all the new armies, and includes many of the legacy models in new-ish combinations of the legacy theme forces.
Warmachine Unlimited includes all the new armies and all the old models, organized by faction rather than army. Unlimited isn't really unlimited, as there are some limits on how you build armies. Nothing is stopping an event organizer from modifying rules, however. You're not supposed to mix legacy (old models) and new models in the same army, even though they may be the same faction. You also aren't supposed to build cross faction armies. If your event organizer allows it, however, nobody is going to stop you from living the dream. Also, nobody is going to stop you and your friends from playing homebrew rules. Have fun, and roll some dice.
