    Bearka Mk3v2 I’m looking for a good balance to Calandra, and being unsure as to whether I want to run her with Champions or Kriel Company, it’s difficult deciding how I want to run his army. Obviously, I want to be able to capitalize on his feat.  I also want a battlegroup that will push Borka’s innate awesomeness even further.   • Carapace

    Whether you’re a Cygnar player sporting a sweet gun line, or a Trollblood running Kriel Company,  you have to wonder how to handle Warbeasts and warjacks with Carapace.  Is it little more than cracking high armor?   • Calandra five games in

    I’m in five games with Calandra.  She’s different from what I’m used to playing, that is certain. I think she works well with minions.  Star Crossed helps her whole army.  Bullet Dodger helps the defense skew.  It isn’t as good as Even Ground (Madrak 1), but what is?  Bullet Dodger suffers from upkeep hate, and only affects one unit/model, doesn’ prevent knockdown, but does allow for a 2″ move.   • Calandra vs Goreshade3

    First outing The last game, with Gunnbjorn, combined with all the Madrak1 love had me thinking about my lists, caster synergy, and weaknesses in Gunnbjorn’s army. Gunnbjorn messes with ranged armies for a turn, but outside of that, doesn’t help his melee troops.  He also does absolutely nothing for minions.  I think he’ll do okay with the Sea King, but not in Band of Heroes.   • Gunnbjorn vs The Heretic

    Overview This is a battle in which I made one major error, and should have lost the game.  My opponent played well, making a strong assassination bid.  He had a 92% chance of success, but Gunnbjorn somehow survived assassination and squeaked out a win. Set up Scenario Breakdown!  No fancy stuff here.  Difficult to jump way ahead on scenario.  Two circles and a rectangle for scoring.  My strategy was to flood the rectangle and right circle with kriel warriors, and walk Gunny’s battlegroup up the center.     Last night’s game was a grind.  I ran Borka2 into Grymkin.  Normally, I would run Band of Heroes, due to Grymkin units coming back.  Playing into them has felt like an uphill battle each time, though I only have three games under my belt, so I still lack experience.   • Trollbloods, Oct 2017 Update

    With the 2017 October live update, Trollblood players have a lot to digest. I’m facing mild overstimulus with the update. The change with biggest effect is probably the Krielstone, followed up by the Runebearer. The Stone makes upkeep trolls more viable in all the themes, and allows our warlocks to fight in the game, rather than serve as a stone battery. The Runebearer gives low fury warlocks the ability to actually catch things with their feat. High fury warlocks carry weight now. Third in the list would be Mulg as an arc node.   • Decimator

    The Good, the Bad… Stat line and weapons The Decimator is one of the more expensive Khador warjacks.   It has the same Stat line as the Juggernaut and Destroyer and other similar jacks (Khador jack makers reuse this frame all over the place). Like most of Khador’s jacks, the Decimator moves at a snail’s pace (SPD 4), but fights well when it eventually arrives.  Instead of an axe, the Decimator is outfitted with a rip saw.  The saw doesn’t do as much damage as the Juggernaut axe, but it does as much as the Destroyer (P&S 17).
