• Horgle2 vs his Feat

    Every time I think I have this guy figured out, someone throws me for a loop.   In this case, Horgle stumbled on Durgen Madhammer, and fought a good fight, but ultimately lost. I think Horgle would have lasted longer, had I ran Combat Warding to avoid continuous fire.   Solid Ground helped prevent trollkin from dying to blast damage, and Firestarter helped a bomber set a battle engine burning. I couldn’t quite catch the engines in Horgle’s feat.  I could pick up one, but not both.  Horgle’s control range of 12″ really wants to be 14″.  Or, his feat

  • Trolls into Trenchers

    As I read through my No Quarter magazine, I can’t help ask myself how I would handle Trenchers with my troll army.  What problems do they present? How do they counter our strengths?  Are they stronger than us on scenario? What Do Trenchers Ask of Us?   • Anti-Armor in Trollbloods

    Troll anti armor Let’s define armor. There are generally two types of armor. Jack/Beast armor, and infantry armor. The Armor faction is typically thought of as Khador, so we’ll use them as an example. Take a Juggernaut. ARM 20, 34 hit boxes. And for the unit, we have Man-O-War Shocktroopers, with ARM 21 under a +4 shield wall and 8 boxes. It seems heavy ARM is usually around 20, excluding shenanigans.   • Grim 1 vs Zaal 2

    The last game I played was a CID game with Grim and the Sea King.  My opponent, a Skorne player, brought Zaal and his Exalted.  The Sea King in CID crushed Zaal after Grim feated and scratched the stone warrior with a shot from Headhunter, his axe rifle.   • Texicon 2017 Day 1, Borka2 vs Butcher3

    Butcher3 or Vlad 1.  Either way, I had just played two Madrak games in a row, and his army wasn’t feeling very strong into Khador.  I think it needs a Mauler.   • Texicon 2017 Day 1, Madrak3 vs Butcher3

    The second Khador player I ran against presented Butcher 3 and Strakov 2. I had never played into Strakov or the third Butcher, and figured the Fennblades could take the impacts from the pikemen.   So I picked Madrak3.  He picked Butcher, and I did a quick read on his abilities.  There weren’t a lot of ways to score, and I knew I needed to keep the Butcher at bay.
