• Nephilim Soldier

I’m not currently playing Legion of Everblight, but when I get a good deal on an attractive looking model, I tend to buy it.  Legion models look pretty amazing, in my opinion.  They’re the Hordes elves, mostly, but have been corrupted.  So rather than mystical space robot warjacks, these elves seem inspired by H.R. Giger’s aliens. The good, the bad… From the troll player perspective, I am a little jealous of this guy.  I want this amazingly fast, flying, eyeless sight, a single weapon with 2″ reach, P&S 15 on a charge, warjack/warbeast column picking MAT 7 monster in my

  • Champions vs Legion of Everblight

In an effort to better understand my Trollblood army, as well as learn the units from other factions, I’m taking the Trollkin Champions into the Legion of Everblight.  I’m going to run the full 27 point boat with Skaldi Bonehammer attached and the Hero running solo.   As usual, I will use the Odds Machine to help calculate chances and will run the opposing units at full strength.  Whoever threatens the furthest will gain initiative. Granted, I am fairly unfamiliar with the Everblight forces, so mistakes will be made. So I originally attempted to spend as little time as possible on these guys, but ended up wasting a whole day watching the adventures of “The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmitt” on Netflix and painting this unit. I followed the same pattern as Saeryn and Rhyas and gave their skin a nice undercoat of white. Verdigris glaze atop the white added an unearthly skin color. Turns out, Verdigris refers to the color that copper turns when

  • Saeryn and Rhyas, Talons of Everblight

Saeryn and Rhyas, Twin Warlocks These were some more Legion of Everblight models previously owned by my daughter. She did the assembly last Christmas, but has since decided to move to another activity. They were primed grey, and I started with a white coat for their skin. Next, I dropped the remote control on one of the warlock’s arms, severing it. Then I followed up with a coat of verdigris glaze. I don’t know what verdigris means, but the glaze is very transparent, and the color is fairly unearthly. Their bone protrusions were painted Grey Green, pants painted German Camouflage
