    Maybe it’s me Ah, Grymkin.  My least favorite faction to play into.  The last few times I’ve played into them, I came away feeling like the game was really tilted.  Maybe it’s not Grymkin.  Maybe it’s me.   • Haley2 vs Morghoul2

  • Carapace

    Whether you’re a Cygnar player sporting a sweet gun line, or a Trollblood running Kriel Company,  you have to wonder how to handle Warbeasts and warjacks with Carapace.  Is it little more than cracking high armor? What is Carapace For those not in the know, Carapace is an ability that gives a +4 bonus to ARM against ranged attacks.  That includes sprays, AOEs, rockets, bullets, and so on, as long as the bullet, missile, what have you needed a RAT to hit.   • No Quarter Prime 1: Urban Ambush pt2

    Last night, I was able to run the No Quarter Prime scenario: Urban Ambush. It was different.  The supplier side definitely has an advantage.  Fitting a Warjack or Warbeast in the ambush list is difficult and costly.  Although the rules state no cavalry, it says nothing about battle engines.  Lastly, it can be difficult for somed factions to bring something to handle both armor and dudespam and incorporeal… all strategies for the supply team.     As I read through my No Quarter magazine, I can’t help ask myself how I would handle Trenchers with my troll army.  What problems do they present? How do they counter our strengths?  Are they stronger than us on scenario? What Do Trenchers Ask of Us?   • Kara Sloan and Gun Mages

    Captain Kara Sloan. Her name summons nightmare visions of a wall of Hunters, threatening your caster on turn 1.  I guess that’s a way to play her, but I can’t see it being very successful.  I am pretty sure most factions have a way to handle the gun line, and with terrain being what it is, there should be fewer LOS opportunities for Kara to exploit.
